Dashboards: Building Visual Reports

Learn how to create dashboards with drag-and-drop widgets, configure chart types and KPI cards, and add dynamic filters to build interactive reports.

Dashboards let you visualize your data with interactive charts, KPI cards, tables, and more. Build drag-and-drop layouts to create the reports your team needs.

Create a New Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Dashboards in the left sidebar
  2. Click Create Dashboard
  3. Give it a name
  4. You are now in the dashboard editor

Add Visualization Widgets

  1. In the editor, click Add Widget
  2. Select Visualization
  3. Choose from your existing dataset visualizations (bar charts, line charts, KPI cards, etc.)
  4. The chart appears on the canvas

Add Other Widget Types

Add any combination of these widgets:

  • Text block: Explanatory text using the rich text editor
  • Heading: Section titles to organize your dashboard
  • Dynamic filters: Interactive dropdowns that filter dashboard data in real time
    • Types: Dropdown, Text, Number, Boolean, Date, DateTime, Date Range, DateTime Range
    • Configure each filter with a label and link it to specific columns
  • Image upload: Logos, diagrams, or visuals (JPG, PNG, SVG, max 375KB)

Arrange the Layout

  1. Drag widgets to reposition them on the canvas
  2. Resize widgets by dragging their edges
  3. Group related metrics together using headings
  4. Place KPI cards at the top for executive summaries, detail charts below

Configure Dashboard Settings

  1. Adjust the grid columns count for your layout
  2. Set the gap size between widgets
  3. These settings are per-dashboard

Save and Publish

  1. Review your layout (changes are saved as a draft until you publish)
  2. Click Save to publish
  3. The dashboard becomes visible to all workspace users based on their role
