Source Config: Reviewing and Deploying Changes
Learn how Organization Admins edit the in-app Source Config and review changes — with a side-by-side diff, an AI summary, and validation — before deploying them.
The Source Config editor lets Organization Admins edit your organization's data ingestion configuration directly in the app. Before any change goes live, a review step shows you exactly what changed and lets you confirm or go back.
This feature is reserved for Organization Admins and may not be available in every organization.
Open the Source Config editor
- Click Settings in the left sidebar (Organization Admin only)
- Open the Source Config tab
- The editor shows the current configuration as formatted JSON
Edit the configuration
- Make your changes directly in the editor
- The Save and Deploy button enables once you have unsaved changes
Review before deploying
- Click Save and Deploy to open the review window
- Review the change before confirming:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| AI summary of changes | A plain-language summary of what changed |
| Changes (current → new) | A side-by-side diff of the current vs. new configuration |
| Warnings | A notice if the configuration is missing expected top-level keys |
- If the new configuration is not valid JSON, an error is shown and Proceed with deploy stays disabled until you fix it
Confirm or go back
- Click Go back to edit to return to the editor and keep refining
- Click Proceed with deploy to apply and deploy the new configuration
Deploying applies the change to your organization's ingestion configuration. Removing a source or table entry undeploys it, so always review the diff and the summary before proceeding.
