Monitor: Tracking Workspace Activity
Learn how to use the Monitor to view your workspace audit log, filter events by type and status, and troubleshoot data refresh failures.
The Monitor provides a complete audit log of everything happening in your workspace. Use it to track data refreshes, troubleshoot failures, and maintain visibility.
Open the Monitor
- Click Monitor in the left sidebar
- You will see all workspace events in a chronological timeline
- The default view shows the last 7 days
Filter Events
- Adjust the date range to change the time window
- Filter by object type:
- SOURCE
- DATA_OBJECT
- DATASET
- FLOW
- Filter by status:
- START
- SUCCESS
- WARNING
- FAIL
- Use the search bar to find events by source name
Review Event Details
- Each event shows:
- Message describing what happened
- Level: INFO, ERROR, or DEBUG
- Action type and source
- Timestamp
- Status indicator
- Click any event to navigate directly to the related object (dataset, flow, source, etc.)
Load More Events
- The Monitor shows 100+ events per page
- Click Load More to see older events
- Check the last-refresh timestamp to see when the view was last updated
- Click Refresh to get the latest events
Common Troubleshooting Steps
- Filter by FAIL status to see all recent failures
- Click on a failed event to go to the related dataset or connection
- Check the error message for details
- Fix the issue (bad SQL, expired credentials, etc.)
- Re-run the dataset or connection manually to verify the fix
