Spotlight Search: Finding Anything Fast
Learn how to use Spotlight Search (Cmd+K / Ctrl+K) to instantly find datasets, source tables, flows, connections, and columns across your workspace.
Spotlight Search gives you instant access to anything in your workspace with a single keyboard shortcut.
Open Spotlight Search
- Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows)
- The search bar appears as an overlay
Search for Something
- Start typing your search term
- Results appear instantly as you type
- Use filter pills to narrow results by type:
- Everything
- Datasets
- Source Tables
- Flows
- Connections
Navigate to a Result
- Use arrow keys to move between results
- Press Enter to go to the selected result
- Press Cmd+Enter (Mac) to open in a new tab
Insert References in the SQL Editor (Optional)
- While working in the SQL editor in the Warehouse, open Spotlight Search
- Search for a table or column name
- Select it to insert the reference directly into your query
- This saves time and prevents typos on long table or column names
